Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has said his decision to construct a new government house as well as an airport was final, no matter what his political opponents will say.
Reacting to critics, Matawalle said there was no going back on the plan to continue with the projects considering their importance to the development of the state.
“I will not change my decision to build the new Government House and the airport because even if I don’t do the projects, the money could be stolen,” he said.
He said Zamfara was the only state in the federation without an airport and a befitting Government House, stressing that he would go ahead with the two projects.
The governor lamented that Zamfara could not host governors’ meeting due to lack of a befitting accommodation.
