Oyo declares Friday public holiday, orders 7-day mourning for Arisekola

The Oyo State government on Wednesday night announced a seven-day of mourning for the late Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Arisekola Alao.

The declaration was contained in a statement issued by Dr Festus Adedayo, Special Adviser, Media to Oyo state Governor.

The state government also declared Friday June 20, as a public holiday for all workers in the state.

The late Deputy-General, NSCIA (South) died at the age of 69 in his house in London on Wednesday.

His burial is slated for Friday as his remains is being expected in Nigeria late Thursday or Friday morning.
