Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, yesterday, told Governor Kayode Fayemi of the state to start preparing his handover note, boasting that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was poised to wrestle power from him in a free and fair contest.
While noting that PDP had the capacity to dislodge the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, he extended the hand of friendship to other aspirants to work like a team in other to go back to government house
He said that “Our resolve to fight and win the next election is unshakable. Our capacity to galvanise and mobilise our people against this clueless and colourless regime is in our unity and strength.”
Ex-Governor Fayose boasted that he would repeat his political dominance on the APC the way he did to the then Alliance for Democracy, AD, in 2003, if given the opportunity to fly the flag of the PDP in the June 21 governorship election.
Fayose said he defeated the then AD incumbent governor, Niyi Adebayo as an underdog, saying nothing would stop him from doing same to Governor Kayode Fayemi.
