This decision provoked the ire of the club’s top leadership, leading to his suspension from the first-team squad.
Consequently, he missed the club’s pre-season preparations and their Ligue 1 opener against FC Lorient, which concluded in a goalless draw.

“Following very constructive, positive talks between PSG and Kylian Mbappé before the game vs Lorient, the player has been reinstated into first team training squad this morning,” the club said as quoted by Mirror.
Interestingly, on the previous Saturday, Kylian was spotted alongside new signing Ousmane Dembele, igniting speculation that the arrival of the former Barcelona star might prompt a reevaluation.
The 2018 World Cup winner warmly greeted Dembele upon his arrival in Paris, stating, “the adventure begins.”
