The family of late Sen. Gyang Pwajok, has announced that the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in April 11 polls will be buried on Nov. 13 in Jos.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Samuel Pwajok, the deceased’s elder brother, in Jos on Sunday.
Senator Pwajok deceased died in India on Oct. 29, barely three days after he lost his case challenging the victory of the state governor, Simon Lalong at the April governorship polls.
It thanked Nigerians for mourning with the family, but cautioned against “wild rumours’’ that were aggravating the sad moments for the family, relations and friends.
The statement specifically expressed shock at speculations that the deceased donated an organ of his body to an unnamed recipient in the state.
“We want to clear this rumour and declare that it is utterly false and unfounded. There was never a time such donation was requested for, much less acceded to.
“The family wants to re-emphasise that our son died of heapatocellula carninogen and at no time donate any organ to anyone.
“As Christians, we believe in the will of God and continue to submit to His will.”
The statement also expressed shock at speculations that the deceased’s mother collapsed and died on learning of the senator’s death.
It stated that the mother was hale and hearty in the family house in Du, an advised those in doubt to visit and commiserate with her over the incident.
“At painful moments like this, the family needs the prayers and support of everyone to overcome the effect of the loss.
“But the pain will be worsened if such rumours continue because they hurt a lot and add to the apprehension,” it stated.
