The National President of National Association of Women Entrepreneurs (NAWE) Barr. Vera Ndanusa has assured wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, will be a different First Lady.
Ndamusa, who stated this in a statement, said the antecedent of Senator Remi Tinubu will stand her out in the new administration.
According to her: “Oluremi Tinubu is coming to Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, with formidable credentials and considerable clout. She is a politician of remarkable competence in her own right and she had received great mentoring from her husband, for many years.
“Today she and her husband are the new tenants of Aso Rock. It is a moment of great opportunities and herculean challenges.
Ndanusa added: “The emergence of Nigeria’s first lady, Remi Tinubu excites NAWE. May 29 2023 will forever became a memorable day for Nigerians and indeed the National Association of Women Entrepreneurs (NAWE), as its Patron Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, became the First Lady of Nigeria.
“Recall the President’s wife, Remi Tinubu was graciously made the Patron of NAWE on the 29th of June 2021 during the inauguration of the 6th President of NAWE”
Ndanusa believed the patron of the association will use her wealth of experience to better the lots of the Nigerian women and the girl child.
She continued: “She and her team traversed the length and breadth of the country during the tasking campaign. And before the campaign , she created an enabling environment at the home front for peace and tranquility, which gave Asiwaju peace of mind at home, a virtue that gave the President the wherewithal to be able to go into the campaign, battle ready.
“Also her antecedents as first lady in Lagos State, with her laudable projects like Spelling Bee and New Era Foundation, that never discriminated against anyone on the basis of gender, ethnicity or religion, is also to be mentioned.
“It is noted that the majority of those who won the Spelling Bee and became A Day Governor in Lagos State were mostly Students of other climes and even females. It’s on record that the majority of these One Day Governors were from the Southeast. Such a detribalised First Lady will take Nigeria to a height of glory.
“All these One Day Governors have continued to impact their lives and others positively”.
