The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) blacklisted one of its candidates from Anambra State, Ejikeme Mmesoma, for allegedly forging the result of her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The board barred her from writing its examination for the next three years.

Here are sure ways of validating the authenticity of JAMB results by either candidates or educational institutions:

1. DOWNLOAD JAMB QR RESULT CHECKER:

The free version of the app is available on app stores online including Apple and Google Play stores. Once you have downloaded the app, click the QR code below on the app interface; use the back camera of your phone to capture the result QR; then it will reveal the candidate’s registration details. The result revealed has to match the one on the slip for it to be authentic.

2. Compare JAMB result slip with  JAMB CAPS:

The Central Admission Processing(CAPS) system of JAMB allows candidates to either accept or reject their admissions. It also shows if a candidate has already printed a result or not. Prior to the release of the new students’ results, the link to or portal for printing jamb results will still be available. Log into account on CAPS and compare the printed slip with that of JAMB CAPS to prove originality.

3. CHECK SECURITY FEATURES:

The JAMB result slip has a bar code bearing vital information; the online payment reference number has to reflect on the slip and the Jamb registration number is placed as a watermark across the slip. These can also be found on the jamb admission letter and they help to validate the authenticity of a jamb result slip.

While there are other complex methods of checking the originality of a result, the aforementioned are simple ways of getting the desired results.
