The renewed focus on consumer-centric programmes and initiatives under the leadership of Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), to advance quality telecoms services has attracted the attention of the Federal Government.
NewMailNG reports Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Minister for Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, stated this at a recent meeting with Dr. Maida and other top officials.
Acknowledging the excellent leadership quality of the EVC/CEO at the Commission, Dr. Tijani stated: “I am extremely pleased by the thoughtful approach that the EVC, Aminu Maida, and the team at the Nigerian Communications Commission are taking towards moving telecom services from ‘Quality of Service’ to an improved ‘Quality of Experience’.”
The Minister also affirmed that the Commission’s approach to the promotion of consumer interests “is fully in line with the agenda in our Strategic Blueprint to improve the sector’s contribution to our economy.”
Tijani noted: “These steps from the NCC reassure me that we are heading in the right direction as we look to improve the sector and its impact on our daily lives.”
