Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held a meeting with Adegboyega Oyetola, governor of Osun state, and Rauf Aregbesola, his predecessor, on Thursday.

The meeting, which held at the Ila Oragun, Osun residence of Bisi Akande, also a former governor of the state, took place amid reports of a crisis between Aregbesola and Oyetola.

Last week, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, a former governor of Osun, asked Aregbesola not to make the state ungovernable for the incumbent governor.

Oyinlola had kicked against the plan of Aregbesola, who is the minister of interior, to attend a political programme holding the same day with Oyetola’s second anniversary celebrations.

The programme was eventually cancelled while Oyetola marked his second anniversary.

Details of Tinubu’s meeting with the duo were not made public but the minister tweeted about the meeting and also announced that the stakeholders’ meeting directed by President Muhammadu Buhari had kicked off.

“Earlier today, I arrived at the @StateofOsun with my entourage from the @MinofInteriorNG to begin my Stakeholders’ Engagement Meeting with different stakeholders in the state as directed by President @MBuhari,” he tweeted.

“Our entourage paid a courtesy visit to our leader and father, Baba Bisi Akande, alongside Governor of the @StateofOsun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola in Ila Orangun. Baba advised us on #EndSARS and insecurity amongst other issues!”
