Elements of 22 Brigade Garrison which carried out clearing operation at Dalore camp on Sunday killed 19 Boko Haram terrorists including Ameer of Dalore.
The troops also captured two AK-47 Rifles, one Small Machine Gun and one Hand Grenade and recovered four pickup vehicles.
The troops, according to a statement by Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, also rescued 67 hostages from the terrorists.
The freed hostages are undergoing screening at Internally Displaced Persons camp in Dikwa.
“Unfortunately, during the operation the troops Mine Resistant Anti-Personnel (MRAP) vehicle ran into an Improvised Explosive Device and had a damaged tyre,” the statement said.
