Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State has said that he would not return to the Peoples Democratic Party despite the resignation of Bamanga Tukur as the National Chairman of the party.
Nyako who stated this during an interaction with newsmen at Yola International Airport, said that “The resignation of Bamanga Tukur is not a condition for my return to the PDP. Some of the reasons for not returning are that the party has become an empire of impunity and lawlessness,’’ he said.
He said his decision to remain in the All Progressives Congress was not for personal interest, but in the interest of the country and democracy.
