Elder statesman and politician, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite is dead.
The 82-year-old lawyer died Monday morning at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos.
His son, Olumide, who confirmed his demise, said in a telephone conversation with our correspondent that the elder statesman died after a brief illness.
The founder of the Nigerian Advance Party, NAP was a delegate at the 2014 National Conference, where he canvassed for a Confederal Constitution to replace the 1999 Constitution.
