The Godfrey Okoye University (GOUNI), Enugu, has started admitting new students for the 2023/2024 academic year.

The university also announced its cut off marks for new students who want to study in the university.

Rev. Fr. Christian Anieke, the Vice Chancellor of GOUNI, made the announcement during the flagging off of 2023/ 2024 academic year on Monday in Enugu.

He stated that the cutoff mark for courses like Medicine, Law and Architecture were 230, 220 and 180 respectively while other courses are 160, NCE 100, and requirement for Post Graduate Diploma is 2.50.

Anieke said 1,500 new students were expected to be admitted into the university and its group of institutions for the academic year.

The vice chancellor explained that the institutions exceeded their admission projections in the 2022/2023 academic year with over 300 students and expressed the hope that the 2023/2024 academic year projections would be met.

He added that 105 candidates had already been admitted for the coming academic year, an evidence that many want to join the institutions.

Anieke said that the institution’s Information Communication Technology portal had been upgraded for efficient and effective service to the people.

He made it clear that there would be no room for admission of unqualified persons and gave the assurance that all the necessary information for admissions would be readily available for the candidates seeking admission into the university and its group of institutions.

He commended GOUNI Radio for assisting to spread the good news of the institutions and reaffirmed the commitment of the management to sustain the standard set by the institutions.

Anieke commended the workers of the institutions for their contributions to the progress of the institutions.
