A former governor of Kogi State and chieftain of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, Prince Abubakar Audu, has denied his rumoured plan to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP.)

Audu noted that he has always been in opposition since he joined politics and remains the bedrock of opposition in the state.
The former governor who spoke in Abuja through the former director general of his governorship campaign organization and former House of Representatives member, Dino Melaye described the speculation of his plans to defect to the PDP as evil, satanic and laughable.

The former governor stated that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has no issues in the state and remains one big family, adding that plans have been concluded to receive over 5000 PDP members into APC as prominent politicians have indicated interest to quit the ruling party.

He vowed that the opposition would form the next government in the state as politicians keep ditching the PDP on daily basis and described the administration of Captain Idris Wada as “beautiful nonsense and one which has not performed up to expectation.”

Audu promised that the next administration under APC would bring life to the state when voted into office, advising persons who he described as less busy to desist from peddling lies against his person to score cheap publicity. “I have not defected and have no intention and reason to defect to PDP.”
