Piers Morgan has reiterated his belief that Arsene Wenger should be sacked as Arsenal manager and replaced by Borussia Dortmund’s Jurgen Klopp.

Morgan was speaking to Robbie Savage and Darren Fletcher on 606 after Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham in the North London derby and says Spurs showed more aggression and more passion than Wenger’s side.

He was also critical of the Gunners record under Wenger over the past decade, and believes that the Frenchman is ‘no longer in the same league’ as manager’s such as Jose Mourinho.

“He now has more money more than almost any other team including Chelsea. He now has the stadium which he has been using has excuse for years.”

Morgan was also critical of Arsenal’s record against top teams in the English Premier League, and says the record is appalling.

“Ten years without a proper trophy is way…way beyond the limitations and patience of any other board in top flight European football,” Morgan said in reference to Arsenal board accommodation of Wenger’s failure to win the league since 2004.

He says a new manager may be the right thing for Arsenal.
