The Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma–Egba, has said that he would not defect from the Peoples Democratic Party despite pressures on him from an opposition political party to join its fold.

“There were reports last week that I was approached by an opposition. Well, the fact of the matter is that I remain in PDP and as a loyal party member, I will work to ensure the victory of my party at all levels in the 2015 polls,” the senator, who lost his bid for the PDP return ticket, said in a New Year message to Nigerians.

He asked the citizenry to massively vote for the PDP in the 2015 polls and also urged the electorate to pray for the success of the 2015 general elections and to ensure that they protect their votes in order to avoid any form of rigging.

The Senate Leader pledged to remain in the PDP and work for its victory, stressing that the PDP remained the strongest party to deliver democracy dividends despite the disagreements in the party across the federation.
