The Academic Board of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) had a valedictory session in honour of three distinguished members and staff of the college who died recently.
The deceased were Dr. Adedeji Amidu Olumide, Dr. Ojo Babajide Lucas and Dr. Mordi Emmanuel Kema from the School of Liberal Studies and School of Technical Education respectively.
In his opening remarks, the Rector of the institution, Dr. Engr. Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul said that the demise of the three icon was a huge loss to the College.
He noted that the valedictory session is not what the College pray to have, but as human death is inevitable, it is indeed a difficult moment for the institution that is mourning three great icon at the same time.
“There were pleasant and encouraging tributes from the colleagues of the departed souls, the entire Yabatech community stood still for the late amazing Chief Lecturers, whose death were rude shock to the institution.
“The entire College prayed for the reposed of the souls of the three generals and fortitude for the family and the college to bear the losses,” he said.
