Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and ex-presidential aspirant, Olu Falae has been freed by his abductors, after spending three days with his captors.
Though Falae is yet to arrive his private house in Ilu Abo, Akure, a source said the politician is currently holding discussion with the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, who relocated to the Ondo State capital following the presidential directive that the police and other security agencies must ensure that the Ondo high chief is freed ‘swiftly and unhurt.’
Falae was kidnapped on Tuesday in his farm and his kidnappers demanded payment of N100 million ransom as a condition for his freedom.
His kidnap had generated some confusion as the state police command had said that the politician was a victim of Fulani herdsmen and really not a kidnap.
